Parkland Survivor Tweets FLOTUS on Cyberbullying
When Donald Trump took office, Melania Trump announced that her cause as first lady would be to combat cyberbullying.
This decision was quickly met with criticism, considering her husband's
penchant for sending less-than-nice tweets at his critics.
Now,
a survivor of the devastating Parkland shooting that took 17 lives
earlier this month has publicly called on the FLOTUS to take her
anti-bullying campaign to the first family, People reports.
Lauren Hogg, a 14-year-old student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, is speaking out after Donald Trump Jr. liked some conspiracy theory
tweets alleging that her brother, David Hogg, is a crisis actor. David,
17, is a student journalist who documented the attacks in real time and
has since become an outspoken advocate for gun control.
Lauren
tweeted the first lady directly, calling on her to educate her stepson
about the impact his online actions had on Lauren and her family.
